![]() Maybe the voltage was too low and the CPU was too old to handle it. I thought perhaps it could be a CPU overclock I did three years ago. ![]() I can play all sorts of fancy games that really strain my system, and it runs like normal there. This has only happened to me when my computer has basically been idle. I have searched around for people with similar problems, but their problems are usually when their computer is under load. This has happened twice in three days, now, and I'm thinking it is likely to happen again. My music continues, and everything unfreezes. This lasts for about two minutes, then it returns to normal. I managed to open up Task Manager during this time, and my CPU was at 5% load. except I look at my HDD activity light, and it is basically idling. (if you have an SSD then you probably won't recognize this) Well that happens as well. You know when you are installing something, or you first boot your computer up, and everything takes an agonizing amount of time to open? Even changing already-open windows takes a long time. ![]() ![]() My computer essentially locks up when this happens, as well. I also get a loud buzzing sound in the background. It's repeating the previous few seconds of the track. So I'm sitting here, listening to some music, browsing some sites, when suddenly my music becomes distorted. ![]()
